Resetting the password for an administrative account
If you need to, you can reset an account’s password without modifying any other user account information, if you have the PRIV_ACCOUNT privilege in your role.
When you reset a password, Portfolio expires the current password. When the owner of the account next logs in, they are presented with the reset password dialog and are prompted to follow the onscreen instructions to reset their password.

You can change your own password. For example, you can change the password for the “admin” account in Edit Account while you are logged in to the “admin” account. |
To reset the password for an administrative account
- Log in to the Admin console.
- Click Security from the navigation pane.
- Click Accounts from the Security menu.
- Find the account that you want, then click the Reset Password option () next to the account information.
- Click OK to force the user to reset their password the next time they log in. Alternatively, click Cancel to leave the password as currently specified and return to Manage Users.
